What we believe, and where we draw the line.
JusticeXpress exists to make the legal system usable by ordinary people. These are the principles we build on — and the limits we hold ourselves to.
The courtroom door is open to everyone in theory, and to almost no one in practice. We are here to change that — honestly, and within the rules.
The law belongs to everyone.
Not only to those who can pay for it. Access to the legal system is not a luxury good; it is the difference between having rights and being able to use them.
Without access, justice is denied.
When people can’t afford help, they don’t stop having legal problems — they lose homes, custody, wages, and standing for lack of one. Closing that gap is the whole point.
Information should be free.
Plain‑language legal information, always, at no charge. Understanding your rights should never sit behind a paywall.
Price should be honest.
We will never charge you for a document you can get free from the courts or a public legal‑aid site — and when a form is free, we tell you exactly where to find it.
Technology serves people — it doesn’t replace judgment.
AI can make legal help affordable at scale. We use it to inform and to prepare documents, never to substitute for a lawyer’s advice.
We know where the line is.
We provide legal information and document preparation. We do not give legal advice. When your matter needs a lawyer, we say so — and connect you to one.
The mission is binding.
We are a Public Benefit Corporation. Widening access to justice is written into our charter, not printed on a brochure.
We measure what matters.
Success is the number of people who can finally understand and act on their own legal problems — and the lawyers who can serve them affordably.
