A Legal Benefit for Your Members — White-Label Licensing for Florida Credit Unions | JusticeXpress
JusticeXpress For Florida credit unions

The member benefit your competitors can’t copy by Friday.

License Florida legal information and an automated legal document library, and offer it to your members under your own name — starting with the estate planning documents most of them do not have.

Built for Florida. Take the whole library, or one module.

  • Member value without a rate change
  • Runs inside your online banking or website
  • Your brand, your subdomain
  • Live in Florida today

The gap in your member service

Your members trust you with their money. Then they ask you a legal question.

A member’s mother dies with no will and their accounts are frozen in probate. A member is served with an eviction. A member’s wages are garnished. Your staff cannot advise them — so the member hangs up, searches, and buys a $200 form from a national website that has never read a Florida statute.

It lands on your desk anyway

Deceased members without wills or beneficiary designations become your operations problem: frozen accounts, grieving families, months of probate paperwork your team walks through by hand.

Differentiation is getting harder

Rates, apps, and rewards are matched within a quarter. A legal benefit your members actually use is something the bank across the street cannot announce next month.

Building it is not realistic

In-house means lawyers, document automation, and re-checking every form each time the Florida Legislature meets. That is a multi-year commitment, not a project.

Who you would be working with

This has been built for large institutions before, and it held up for a decade at a time.

JusticeXpress was founded by Richard S. Granat, who has spent three decades building the legal content and document automation that insurers, legal plans, and state courts put in front of the public.

That means you are not the pilot customer for an untested idea. You are licensing something that has already survived the compliance review, the member support load, and the maintenance obligation that come with serving a large member base.

  • 10 Years serving ARAG Legal content and automated documents delivered to members of one of the largest group legal insurers in the United States.
  • 10 Years inside MetLife Built the estate planning module for MetLife’s life insurance division, in service for ten years — until MetLife Legal Plans acquired a legal forms company and brought the function in house.
  • 25 Years of the People’s Law Library of Maryland Founded by Richard Granat as Maryland’s leading public legal information site, and operated today by the Maryland Judiciary as a service to the state’s citizens.
  • FL A live statewide service justicexpressflorida.com is running now — the same library you would license, already tested with Florida users and Florida forms.

How this works

Three steps, and no development work on your side.

You are licensing a finished, maintained system — not commissioning one.

Step one

See a demonstration

Thirty minutes on screen share. We walk your team through the live Florida library the way a member would use it, and ask what your branches actually get asked.

Step two

Choose your scope

The full library or a single module. We agree on branding, on where it sits in your member experience, and on whether it is a free benefit, a fee product, or both.

Step three

Launch under your name

Your logo, your subdomain, your members. We keep the content current as Florida law and Florida forms change, and give your marketing team the launch materials.

What is available to license

License the library whole, or take one shelf of it.

Each module pairs free plain-language legal information with documents your member completes through guided questions.

Housing and tenancy

Landlord–tenant rights, eviction response, security deposit demands, and the short deadlines that decide those cases in Florida.

Family law

Uncontested divorce, parenting plans, child support, and name changes, built on Florida Supreme Court approved family law forms.

Small claims and civil

Filing and defending small claims in county court, service of process, and collecting on a judgment.

Consumer debt and credit

Debt collection defense, garnishment exemptions, and credit reporting disputes. Some credit unions license this module and some do not; that is a choice you make, not a package you inherit.

Small business formation

Florida LLC formation, operating agreements, and basic contracts, for your business members and self-employed members.

Attorney directory

When a matter genuinely needs legal advice, members are routed to Florida attorneys offering limited-scope help, rather than to a search engine.

Pricing is published, not quoted. $0.35 per member per year, with a $5,000 annual minimum and a one-time $7,500 setup fee. The annual fee covers the full library and unlimited member use — a 20,000-member credit union pays $7,000 a year, a 100,000-member credit union pays $35,000. Work out your own number before you call us.

What changes

The same member call, before and after.

Today

  • Your representative explains that the credit union cannot give legal advice, and the call ends there.
  • The member buys a generic form that does not meet Florida’s execution requirements.
  • The will fails, or the clerk rejects the filing, and your branch staff absorb the fallout.
  • Your legal benefit, if you have one, is a phone number in a brochure nobody opens.
  • Your differentiation story is still rates and the mobile app.

With your white-labeled library

  • The member finds a Florida-specific answer inside your online banking, free, under your name.
  • They complete a valid Florida will in one sitting, at a price they can pay.
  • Fewer estates arrive at your operations team as a mess, and families associate the relief with you.
  • You gain a member touchpoint, a retention story, and an optional non-interest income line.
  • Your board hears that you closed a gap the industry has been leaving open.

What your compliance officer will ask

The hard questions, answered before you have to ask them.

Does this put us in the practice of law?

No. The service provides legal information and helps members prepare their own documents. It does not advise on strategy or apply the law to a member’s situation. When a matter needs a lawyer, the system says so and refers out. Disclaimers appear where decisions are made.

What is our liability?

You are licensing a service, not becoming its provider. The agreement sets out who stands behind the content and the documents. We will walk your counsel through the exact terms during due diligence.

What does our IT team have to do?

In the simplest configuration, almost nothing: a branded subdomain and a link. Deeper options include single sign-on from your online banking so members never re-enter credentials.

Who keeps the content current?

We do. Florida statutes change, Supreme Court approved forms are revised, and filing procedures shift. Maintenance is part of the license, not a change order.

Can we start small?

Yes, and most do. The fee covers the full library either way, so launching with estate planning alone costs no less — it simply gives your staff and your members one thing to learn first. You open the rest when you are ready.

Do our members actually use it?

We will show you real usage patterns from the live Florida service during the demonstration, rather than a projection built for the slide.

Offering a Legal Benefit: A Practical Guide for Florida Credit Unions

Written for the people who have to approve it — the CEO, the compliance officer, and the head of member experience — not for a conference stage.

  • What white-labeling includes, and where your brand stops and ours begins
  • How the service stays on the right side of the unauthorized practice of law in Florida
  • Three pricing structures, and which membership size each one suits
  • Integration and single sign-on: what your core processor and IT team are responsible for
  • What to measure in year one, and what realistic member take-up looks like
  • A one-page checklist for your compliance review

Send me the guide

Four fields. No sales sequence.

We use your details to send the guide and, if you ask, to schedule a demonstration. We do not sell or share them.

The next step

Thirty minutes, the live library, and a straight answer.

We will show you exactly what your members would see, tell you what it would cost a credit union your size, and tell you plainly if your membership is not the right fit. Bring your compliance officer.

JusticeXpress

A Public Benefit Corporation working to make the legal system affordable and accessible. Law That You Can Afford®

JusticeXpress is a legal document preparation service, not a law firm. Our technology provides legal information and helps people prepare their own documents — it does not give legal advice or act as anyone’s attorney, and use of the service does not create an attorney-client relationship. When a matter calls for legal advice, we refer the user to a licensed lawyer.
